The Brit Funk Association is more than a band - it’s a living celebration of a musical movement. Bringing together the pioneering artists who defined Brit Funk in the late ’70s and ’80s, this legendary collective features key original members from Light of the World, Hi-Tension, and Beggar & Co. Together, they create an electrifying live show overflowing with groove.
Expect to hear genre-defining anthems such as “Time,” “Mule Chant Number 2,” “I’m So Happy,” and fan favourites like “London Town” and “Peace on Earth.” These are not simply covers - they are performed by the musicians who wrote, recorded, and shaped the very sound of Brit Funk itself. The set also pays homage to the artists who inspired them, including Kool & The Gang and The Blackbyrds, ensuring a night packed with rhythm, soulful horns, and infectious basslines.
All of this unfolds in the luxurious surroundings of Boisdale of Canary Wharf, one of London’s most iconic live music venues. Famous for its old-school glamour, warm acoustics, and intimate club-style atmosphere, Boisdale is also home to award-winning cocktails, a world-class wine and whisky collection, and a gourmet menu celebrating the very best of Scottish and seasonal cuisine.

Times & Seating
- Arrival: We recommend arriving between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
- Show Times: Performances usually start between 8.30pm and 9.00pm. Finishing times vary depending on the show, but all performances finish no later than 11.00pm.
- Weekend Lunch: Available Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00pm, with live music from 1:00pm.
- Single Tickets: Solo ticket holders will be seated at shared tables.
