Founded by musician and cigar maker Avo Uvezian, AVO Cigars has built its reputation on blends that emphasise harmony, craftsmanship and creative expression. Uvezian believed that the most meaningful creations emerge where craft meets emotion, a philosophy that shaped both his music and his cigars. While the brand continues to honour this legacy, the introduction of EXPRESIVO signals and forward looking moment for AVO in the year of its late founder's centenary.
Avo Expresivo - blend and craftsmanship
At the centre of this new chapter stands AVO EXPRESIVO, crafted in Honduras and composed of carefully selected tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras, finished with a silky Ecudorian wrapper. Each tobacco undergoes a carefully tailored fermentation process designed to refine its natural strength and aromatic potential. Honduran tobaccos, known for their intensity, are fermented with particular attention to balance and structure, while Jalapa leaves gradually reveal their sweetness and floral character. This precise preparation allows each component to retain its identity while contributing to the overall harmony of the blend.

Another Medal for our friend George Sara at Chateau Ksara the oldest wine producer in the Lebanon. A blend of indigenous Clairette, Muscat, Obeidy with Sauvignon Blanc. Intense fragrant floral nose, opulent hints of citrus, pears, apricot, and honeysuckle, and a crisp refreshing finish.
Boisdale Claret 2020 Bordeaux Superieur, France. IWC Bronze Medal Winner - 90 points
Meticulously made in a traditional claret style at 12.5% ABV by Marc Lurton at Chateau Reynier close by St Emillion. 50% Merlot/50% Cabernet Sauvignon – Delicious and highly quaffable with ripe berry aromas and flavours, silky tannins and judicious use of French oak. The IWC Bronze Medal leaves no doubt about the significant quality of this wine which left far more famous and expensive Bordeaux in the shade.
