Possessing one of the finest voices in contemporary British UK soul, we are delighted to have Vanessa Haynes (Incognito) make a welcome return to the Boisdale stage for what promises to be an unforgettable tribute to the legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
London based Haynes, cut her teeth working as a backing vocalist for Van Morrison and Chaka Khan before stepping into the spotlight to become the lead singer of British funk legends, Incognito. Alongside her superb band, she will be performing a golden jukebox of unforgettable Aretha classic that goes from Chain Of Fools and Respect all the way through to I Say A Little Prayer and (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman. With her deep gospely tones, it's easy to hear why the Evening Standard recently dubbed her a 'soulful powerhouse.' We could not have put it any better ourselves.
