Based in Hackney, the core members are Angus Macdonald (piano) and Toto Gomez (double bass, vocals, trumpet). The line-up sometimes extends to a trio or quartet with the addition of invited special guests. The band enjoys reinvigorating the timeless melodies found in the old jazz standards (eg. Louis Armstrong, Erroll Garner, Ella Fitzgerald) with contemporary textures and harmony, taking inspiration from RnB, Hip-Hop and modern jazz.
