Purdy: Jazz & Pop Thursday 26 March 2020 21:15 Boisdale of Canary Wharf Restaurant

Influences range from Nina Simone to Nancy Sinatra, Purdy's own songs have a vintage flair with a modern attitude.

We welcome Purdy back to Boisdale to celebrate the long anticipated official online launch date of her second album ‘Both Sides of The Clown’. Enjoy Purdy’s new self-penned pop/jazz-influenced originals, masterfully accompanied by her brilliant band, featuring Jamie McCredie-guitar, Tom Moore-bass, Tim Sentance-piano and Dan Western-drums.

This outstanding singer simply oozes charisma, which combined with her sultry style and surefooted vocal delivery makes her truly impressive. With influences ranging from Nina Simone and Peggy Lee to Julie London, Nancy Sinatra and Henry Mancini, Purdy's own songs have a vintage flair refreshed by a thoroughly modern attitude.

Her 2015 album “Diamond in the Dust” affirmed her as a significant solo artist, and since then Purdy has supported Jools Holland on tour and wowed crowds at The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Stadium

“A consummate artist, old soul, young heart, witty and alluring” Time Out London

She also recently took a singing part in the popular Netflix Series ‘The Crown’ ...we expect big things ahead for this wonderful performer.
