Emily Faulconer, head winemaker for Chilean brand Viña Carmen is very much a rising star in the world of wine. At only 33, she has already worked at some of the top wineries in Chile, as well as overseas in California, New Zealand and Bordeaux.

She is visiting the UK in September and invites you to join her at Boisdale of Bishopsgate for an informal wine tasting. Emily will host a guided tasting taste through of a range of wines including the Decanter World Wine Awards Platinum medal winning Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, with each wine being matched to bite-sized canapes.

Founded in 1850, Viña Carmen was the first winery to be established in Chile. Our  and their mission has always been quality and innovation: working in harmony with the land in a sustainable method to bring new and exciting wines to the world. Indeed, it was in 1994 in our the Carmen vineyard that the long thought to be extinct Carmenère grape variety was rediscovered, and so a classic was ‘re-invented’.
‘Wines tell stories for me; I look forward to sharing my wines and their stories with you’ – Emily Faulconer.
