Boisdale x Champagne Gardet Tasting Thu 11 Jun 2026 at 18:00 Canary Wharf

Ranald Macdonald discovered Champagne Gardet in 1985. The Gardet Vintage 1971 had just come second equal with Krug Vintage 1971 in a completely blind tasting conducted by Clive Coats MW with an unprecedented 24 Masters of Wine. The winner was Salon 1971, the most expensive Champagne in the world, and not known by many. Boisdale was registered as an official Champagne Marque in 1987 to be made in Chigny-Les-Roses by Champagne Gardet.
Founded in 1895 in Chigny-les-Roses, Champagne Gardet is one of the Montagne de Reims' historic family-owned houses. Sourcing extensively from Premier Cru vineyards and renowned for extended cellar ageing, Gardet has earned praise from leading critics, including Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Jancis Robinson and James Suckling, while recent releases have received multiple Gold Medals and scores of up to 96 points. Today, Gardet remains one of Champagne's best-kept secrets, offering exceptional quality and authenticity beyond the spotlight of the Grandes Marques.
This guided tasting hosted by Champagne Gardet President, Christophe Prieux, offers a rare opportunity to explore the Boisdale Champagne range from George Gardet and a Gardet gem with expertly matched canapés.
