Edith Piaf.. magically enhanced by Susan’s truly incomparable voice
Acclaimed chanteuse Susan Black relates the story of French vocal legend Edith Piaf, along with the classic songs which shaped her career. Susan has previously performed in Edinburgh, the West End and many other locations, and now brings this wonderful show to the intimate setting of Boisdale.
Susan created a show purely based on the songs which enabled Edith Piaf’s rise to fame, which has become ‘The Piaf Story’. The critically acclaimed chanteuse Susan Black will be taking you on a journey to the back streets of Paris, performing songs made famous by this French singing legend, interwoven with stories from the life of this great artist.
Susan Black has sung on stage alongside such star names as Dame Shirley Bassey and Beverley Knight, and has been supported by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. She also supported the late Robin Gibb, and Toyah Wilcox, and was the opening act for a Q&A with Sylvester Stallone at Manchester Arena.
The Stage has described Susan’s voice as “a voice that could fill the Albert Hall without a microphone!”
For one night only in the intimacy of the Boisdale's dining room, you can enjoy the truly incomparable voice and personality of this unique ‘star’ performer as she brings you her special tribute to Edith Piaf.
‘The Piaf Story’ will be an evening to remember.
