'The Great Ladies of Jazz with Ineza

Ineza celebrates the giants of jazz singing, from Billie to Ella, from Peggy Lee to Julie London, from Nina to Sarah Vaughan.  A night of swinging jazz and classic songs accompanied by the Alex Webb trio.

Ineza Kerschkamp is a Rwandan-born Belgian Jazz singer, based in London. She is a graduate of both Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and Maastricht Conservatoire in The Netherlands.  She has since worked with some great jazz names including Soweto Kinch, Sheila Jordan, Nora Winstone and Orphy Robinson.  Her 2018 debut EP 'Where Are You From’ showcased five original songs exploring the depths of identity loss and healing; the following year (2019) Ineza became one of only eight artists to be awarded a place at the second edition of artist development program LEAP organized by international music producers Serious.  Ineza is a passionate educator, next to her work as a singing teacher she has been involved in various high profile workshop leading projects.

Initially Ineza started out as a Classical singer but she would soon discover Jazz through great Jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen Mcrae and Sarah Vaughan. She is also heavily influenced by Neo Soul artists Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and Robert Glasper.

Ineza is established on the London Jazz scene, known for her unique sound, powerful voice and versatility as well as her ability in compositions. She has performed in well known venues such as Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Vortex and Spice of Live.
